Portland Musical Theater Company seeks 11-18 year old singing actors to join our Stars of Tomorrow cabaret performances this summer.
We hire Non-Equity performers and encourage artists of all ethnicities and sexual orientations to audition.

Please be prepared to:
- Sing 32 bars of a song of your choice from a musical theater show with a background track or a capella.
- Sing 32 bars of a song, contrasting in style from your first song, from a musical theater show also to be sung with a background track or a capella.

Cabaret Cafe Returns in 2019-2020
Great Vocalists + 1 Theme = An Evening of Beautiful Music
Cabaret Cafe is an evening of song featuring our city’s promising vocalists performing their favorite songs within the evening’s theme.
Stage presence and performance are just as important than vocal ability.
Stars of Tomorrow
Ages 11-13 (musical theater songs)
Performance: July 20 7:30pm
Workshop and Rehearsal: July 13
Ages 14-18 (musical theater songs)
Performance: August 17 7:30pm and August 18 2pm
Workshop and Rehearsal: August 10
July and August: Stars of Tomorrow cabaret feature 8-10 performers from the age group performing two songs plus a group finale song for an audience including some directors, producers, and casting agents in the Portland theater community.
Participants will benefit from:
- participation in a vocal performance masterclass and a rehearsal with Portland Musical Theater Company founder and managing artistic director, Deanna Maio
- receive video of the performance for future video auditions or their reel
- one complimentary ticket
- a coupon code that friends and family can use to get tickets
- being featured in our promotions, press release, and social media.
